1. Scope

These terms apply to every offer, treatment and transaction between the pedicurist and the client to which the pedicurist has declared these terms applicable, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

2. Professional duties

The pedicurist performs treatments to the best of her knowledge and ability, in accordance with professional standards, current scientific knowledge and the professional code for foot care practitioners. Where reasonably possible, the client will be informed of the financial consequences of changing or extending a treatment.

3. Appointments

The client and pedicurist must report an inability to attend as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours, or one working day, before the appointment. This does not apply in force majeure situations. If an appointment is not cancelled on time, the full treatment fee may be charged. If the client is more than five minutes late, treatment time may be shortened while the full fee remains due.

4. Payment

Treatment and product prices are displayed in the practice and include VAT where applicable. Price changes are announced 30 days before they take effect. Offers are valid for the stated period and while stocks last. If payment remains outstanding after the due date and a reminder, the debt may be referred for collection. The resulting costs are payable by the client.

5. Personal data and privacy

Before the first treatment, the client provides the information required for careful treatment. The pedicurist records this information electronically or on a client card and handles confidential information in accordance with the GDPR.

6. Confidentiality

The pedicurist keeps all confidential information shared during treatment private. This obligation does not apply when disclosure is required by law or by a court decision.

7. Liability

The pedicurist is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client about physical conditions, medication, work or leisure activities. The pedicurist is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings. Compensation may be requested for damage to furniture, equipment or products. Theft is reported to the police.

8. Guarantee

Treatments are guaranteed for one week and products for two weeks. The guarantee expires if the client uses products other than those advised, does not follow advice, does not seek medical help within two working days when advised to do so, or does not use products according to their instructions.

9. Complaints

A complaint about a treatment or product must be submitted in writing as soon as possible and within five working days of discovery. The pedicurist will provide an appropriate response within five working days. If a complaint is justified, the treatment will be repeated unless this has demonstrably become pointless and the client states so in writing. If no agreement is reached, the dispute may be referred to a competent authority or mediator.

10. Proper conduct

Clients must behave in accordance with generally accepted standards while in the practice. If improper behaviour continues after repeated warnings, the pedicurist may deny the client access to the practice.

11. Governing law

Dutch law applies to every agreement between the pedicurist and the client. The Dutch text is decisive when interpreting these terms. The version in force when the agreement was concluded applies.

Language and interpretation

This English version is provided for convenience. The Dutch text is decisive in the event of any difference in interpretation.
